The Challenge
Following their migration to Bloomerang, the Botanical Garden was ready to activate the platform’s membership module. Due to the complexity of historical membership records, some data required additional configuration before it could fully support Bloomerang’s automated membership features.
The Solution
We reviewed and structured historical membership data so it could be accurately represented within Bloomerang. Working with the Garden’s team, we established clear membership schedules, standardized renewal date tracking, and built reports to reliably identify current members.
We also configured workflows for managing gift and complimentary memberships, ensuring they were handled consistently alongside standard memberships.
To support future memberships, we set up Bloomerang’s online membership forms to automate enrollment across multiple membership levels, including gift memberships. We created reporting tools to surface upcoming renewals, identify lapsed members, and support a thoughtful, ongoing renewal outreach process.
The Outcome
The Botanical Garden now has a well-structured membership system that supports automation while remaining easy for staff to manage. The team has clear visibility into membership status and renewal timelines, allowing them to focus on cultivating strong, lasting relationships with their community.
